Tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik were blessed with a boy on Tuesday, it was confirmed by the new father on Twitter.

Mirza, who took a break after undergoing surgery has not played this year and later confirmed a lengthier time out after confirming the news of her pregnancy. She has clarified that she is aiming to be back on court for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
In an interview this year, Sania had said that she will keep their child’s name as “Mirza Malik”. “Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza-Malik as a surname and not just Malik.
There were also rumours that the tennis star has already given birth to a baby boy. Shoaib, who reunited with Sania after the recently concluded Asia Cup 2018, took to Twitter to make an appeal to his fans.
